OK, figure I should give some "closure" to this thread, since I started it and all...
We did in fact make contact with the Kentucky unit, by both e-mail, and on here, and finally by phone. Had good contact with several members. Chose to join, got the old numbers that had been on the trailer before, or at least one set. We asked JC about 1265 and 16644, was hoping to get 1265 because they were centered better when on there last. 16644 would be a hard number to center, and apperently was way to hard for the last owner of that number/trailer combo to try.. anyways, they didn't say if the second number was available, but we got the 1265, so once the clear coat is off, those go on.
We had planned to be ready for the REgion 5 rally this weekend, but we weren't. Well we were, but Toto wasn't. Many things are fixed since we rolled her here, but some important ones aren't.. mainly no plumbing, and that gash in the ceiling. Anyways we rolled up to the rally site on Wed. since it's exactly 21 minutes from our porch, and had a great time, went back on Fri. for the Unit's Social Hour, met tons of friendly people and visited for quite some time. We are happy with our choice to meet up with them, and am sure many happy campings are in our future.
Thanks to those who gave advice and experiences.
