Free Memberships at WBCCI

I recently read at a couple of AS sites that there was rumor of free memberships at WBCCI available to new AS owners.

It seemed to be rumors so I contacted the membership director at WBCCI and inquired.

The director replied and infomed me that a one year free membership was indeed available to new owners of new or used AS's.

All that is required is proof of ownership and no previous membership to WBCCI.

Proof of ownership shall be in the form of Title or registration or bill of sale.

This will entitle you to membership at large for one year.

There are dues for years to follow.

Just wanted to dispell rumors and let the " new comers" know that there is really a free role of the dice every once in a while.

My family is looking forward to our first AS rally and other AS events.

The only concern we have now is will we be the "trailer trash" of the rally with our old 71 Overlander. It needs some beautification on the outside. We have been focused on the inside for quite some time.

Rally Ho!

WBCCI Membership

I have tried numerous times to reach the office by phone and even sent an email a few days ago, all to no avail. Anyone know of a problem there? Are they closed for a few weeks? Would like to get my membership set up before December.

Free Membership

Yes, 1st year membership is free. After I had paid my dues through my local unit I found out about the free thing. I called the Wally office in Ohio and they told me to send proof of purchase. I have the refund check right here. I didn't ask my local unit for a refund - I figure it's worth the 20 bucks.

I can't wait for the first rally! We'll be the trailer-trash in the 75 Overlander!

Prompt service from Kathy

I always received response almost immediately from from kathy at WBCCI. She is the membership director. Of course I was corresponding during business hours.

You probably seen her email link at the WBCCI website.

The local unit dues are not free at my local chapter. Only the WBCCI dues are free for first year.

This thread is from 2002. Things have changed a lot since then. Now, 18 years later, I would be surprised if Airstream is offering WBCCI memberships- they are two totally separate business entities.

Airstream did not provide the free memberships, the club did, but they were only offered in 2002. When we joined in 2003 there were no free memberships and have not been any offered since then.

You can reach the club at
membership@airstreamclub.org.

We received free membership upon purchase of our 2020 FC last February. Application was included with our Airstream paperwork from the dealer.

Some dealers do buy club memberships for their customers, and the club very much appreciates that, but that is a dealership initiative, not Airstream nor the club. Not sure how many dealerships are doing that, but I suspect it is a minority of them.
