Mark, I had a chuckle or two myself.

I just love a happy ending!

Benefits of WBCCI

When I bought an Airstream, I looked into the club. In my area there didn't appear to be any activities, and it seemed pricey, so to me it looked like much ado about nothing. I would look at the guys Airstream and note that the letters looked pretty sloppy and that he was paying good money to feel elite. It would reflect poorly in my eyes, so I am not sure what he thinks he is gaining?

I'm not even a member. I just noted that he was impersonating a member. When he played the restoration card I added and doing it poorly. I am planning to join as soon as DW retires and can go on longer excursions .

Rondel/roundel?
I didn't realize the little thing had a formal name.
I thought it was just a little round sticker/decal.

Fake numbers and rondel, opinion?

Here's an interesting addition. If you split the roundel top to bottom and move each half one radius away from the other, then reconnect them with horizontal lines, you end up with a cartouche.

I've considered big blue AirForum numbers instead of my red WBCCI numbers.... More proud of this affiliation anyway!

A Hello Kitty trailer would actually be cool.
Fake red numbers and rondel/roundel just don't make no sense!

I like to think clubs are like churches. Where everyone is welcome, and out of kindness they they would join. This is why I support the Air Forums. This person needs a little guidance and he'll see the light. He wants to be a member.....he just doesn't know it yet.

Highly entertaining, especially the reactions.

Personally I dropped out of the WBCCI and forthwith removed the numbers and rondels from my AS, along with any stickers relating thereto.

Is it possible to join the WBCCI and display your membership number in black? I'm redoing the side-striping on my AS to blue/black to match both the original AS nameplate color and the black frame/lower plastic trim and I think the red would clash. That leads to a question on the blue beret, can I wear my black or green beret? The blue beret brings back bad memories of UN experiences, maybe I could add a WBCCI insignia to one of my berets, we are a color blind country, are we not?
Regards,
James

It has been my experience that, except for club officers, you don't even need to OWN a blue beret. And even for club officers, wearing the beret is usually optional.

As a past unit President I have never owned or even tried on a blue beret.

Really.... Is having a goofy blue hat a prerequisite for being a member of a club?
