Change of watch

Tomorrow, July 6, is the change of watch for half of the WBCCI region officers, including Region 9. Also, as of tomorrow, I can don my new red striped WBCCI badge identifying me as the webmaster for region 9. I have had the badge in my posession for some time, but I couldn't wear it until the installation.

I have already been requested and agreed to continue through the next four years.

I jumped the gun by just a few hours and made the new Region 9 web pages active a few minutes ago. We will have a newsletter posted soon after the International ends.

Comments and corrections to the website are most welcome.

I want to make this a useful site. I'm open to suggestions as to things that can be added so that folks come back to it for information rather than being just a one-time look-see. I do intend to add a photo page with photos taken at recent events and I may move some things from the dynamic menu to separate pages to help faster downloading for dialup folks.

I'm still trying to get some of the units to respond with info for the unit page. It's like pulling teeth to get anything out of some of them.

I have to agree, great site. Just recently joined the WBCCI as a "member at large" and this is a great site to get information about unit rallies.

What link are you referring to?

I was sure that link brought me to the old site, with a sub link to your newindex as a preview.
By retracing my old steps, I still find
on the site: http://www.airstreamtrailers.com/ by following the region 9 site to
http://intellex.com/~region9/
Which I assume is the “old site”

There are probably a lot of old links out there that still point to the old site. Not much I can do about them until the owners decide to check their links (which doesn't happen very often). The old Region 9 webmaster will keep his page up for a while pointing at the new site.

Until the evening of July 5, my link took you to a temporary page on my site that gave the option of going to the old site or previewing the new site. On that evening, the temporary page was replaced by the permanent new home page.

Actually, the link itself didn't change, the pages were simply renamed on the server.
