A little real life digging....1967 Original WBCC owner

We found the original certificate of purchase along with all the original paperwork and manual ($5) in back of one of the overheads. Richard & Myrtle Paschke were the original owners and with a quick internet dig, turns out she was an avid airstreamer, enough so that WBCC is mentioned in her obituary. So amazing to have this piece of history ... AND the manuals to the trailer and all the appliances/toilet/electronics!

Your Airstream had a significant first owner! Richard Paschke was the 1966-67 WBCCI International President . . . the head honcho of the Airstream Club!!!! They likely bought your 1967 Overlander during his term as President (July 1966 to July 1967) and took it on their only recorded caravan: 51 - Mexico Fall 1966.

Thanks ! Surprisingly I couldn't find anything on Richard online. Our airstream has a different layout than the spec - I wondered if someone had customized it before buying since everything is original and matches. This would make sense - he would probably have done so !

Ahh and she was #93... the 93 is the most prominent. Very surprising that was the first number , since the others look faded behind it.

Yes, the Paschke's were 93. Looks like the second number was possibly 9938, all crammed onto the center panel. Perhaps it is fainter because that second number was on the trailer for a much shorter time than the Paschke's 93.

That's really cool! Good for you to have that Airstream knowing the history of it's ownership.

When I owned my 1966 Airstream, I was fortunate to find the original owner's son and talk about it's history. So nice to see these rolling pieces of history still going down the highway. Enjoy!!

Thanks Joe

Iceman - there are some pics in the 60's Overlander section, ours has the twin bed immediately to the left of the door, all others have it back on the right side in front of the bathroom

We are slowly dismantling the interior - takes 7X longer with two little ones
