Don't worry. If you want to attend there will be plenty of people cancelling. Get on the stand by list and block out the time on your calendar.

DJ Night is in the Works!

We've been in touch with azflycaster (current WBCCI president) and have tentative approval to organize a DJ Night for one evening during the rally. Dates are being checked and double-checked so keep an eye out on this thread, Blue Beret and other WBCCI communication channels for more information.

Lots of music, dancing and fun - we hope to have a means to send your requests in advance so the DJ will have an idea of what people want to hear. Obviously, you can submit requests in person but doing in advance will be fun too!

DJ picks

Have to have some Trailer Park Troubadours. And mix in the always fun mannequin challenge.

This is the latest information regarding the 2017 Escanaba International Rally.

We currently have over 600 signed up for the rally and many more on the standby list for electric sites on the UP Fairground. We have stopped taking standby names because the demand has far exceeded the number of cancellations we are projecting. If you want to stay on the Fairground there are two options, solar and generator. Both of these areas still have available sites, will have water and be pumped out on a 4 day scheduled.

We have recently made arrangements with two off site locations which are relatively close to the fairground.

Pioneer Trail Park- http://www.deltacountyparks.com/pioneer-trail-park.html Sites at this park are being held exclusively for “Airstream Club” members from January 1st to February 28th. After that date, registrations are open to the public. To make reservations, call 906-786-1020 or 906-553-7700 and identify yourself as a member of the Airstream Club. Email lorimathews@deltacd.org for additional information. This park is 3 miles from the fairground

Gladstone Bay Campground - http://www.gladstonemi.org/campground Sites can be reserved at this campground by leaving a message at 906-428- 9222. This park is 7 miles from the fairground.

NOTE: Gladstone is a smaller facility and will fill quickly

It will be up to you to make reservations at these sites and then register for the rally as staying offsite. The offsite fee is $95 per adult and entitles you to all the events at the fairground. This includes all the seminars, meals, entertainment, and access to the vendor area. If you are considering staying at one of these campgrounds, do not procrastinate, space is limited.

Just to let you folks know that I will be at the International this year as an exhibitor. I'll also be conducting some seminars on RV electrical/battery charging and solar/lithium batteries.

See you all there!!!!!

dear friends,

I need to cancel my reservation for Escanaba but there is no phone number for contacting wbcci or the rally folks. the website says 'request refund by mail and send all passes.'

however, passes are not sent out until April and the canc. deadline is June.

any ideas how to contact these folks directly?

Call the office number in the above post. Julie can handle your cancellation. Sorry that you will not be able to attend.

+1 for sure! I've followed a number of the solar / battery threads with great interest, and can always count on Lewster to have the definitive answers. We're really looking forward to our first International. Getting an opportunity to hear from Lewster is like the icing on the cake!

As you should know, you don't have to join to benefit from all of the knowledge base within the Forum community. Opinions are plentiful, and there is expert advise to be found on most topics, to a great degree experience based. As to joining the club, not knowing your style or preferences, I would hazard that if you use it and take part in the activities and rally's, you will enjoy it. We've not found this to be a bunch of oldtimers, but more so, a group that enjoys meeting others, and that enjoys getting out and exploring. Come along!
