Hitch weight on 2004 28 safari s/o
Does anyone know if the hitch weight specs from Airstream are loaded or unloaded? My research shows my model to be 1200 lbs +. Which seems high for a 6000+ weight trailer. I know loaded it could be up to around 9000. Does the 1200 lb number include propane, water ect.. Most of what I read says the hitch weight should be 10 to 15% of overall weight. So 1200 or 1240 seems really heavy. Any info would be appreciated. Looking into a different tow vehicle, thanks!
