Question slide out on '04 28 Safari

I'm having trouble with slide out not working electrically...with trailor plugged into power shouldn't it work, even if batteries are dead?....had to bring it in manually...is there a separate fuse box for slide out?...will batteries charge back up when plugged into tow vehicle?...if so then batteries should operate slide out?...thanks Charlie

Since the Slideouts are new to A/S's, you may want to either call or email A/S Tech Support.

Check to make sure that power was available to the switch , it may be as simple as the switch , look in the manual the breaker may be tripped if there is no power to the switch. breakers a little hard to see if tripped so look twice .If the limit on the latches is malfuntioning / stuck whatever the unit wont slide out dont know if same would apply for slide in , maybe they moved ect when unit out and safety defeating it to slide in as that would be bad sliding in if latches where partly out. I also have 2004 slide out. If I can be of further help please contact. Industrial electrician so hopefully capable of electric help.

Were your travel locks in all the way? There is a micro switch that needs to make contact to enable room to move. If plugged into shore power and convertor is working you should have 12 volt.
Was the 12 volt kill switch engaged?
