Just saw '05 22' CCD

Just saw the '05 22' CCD inside and out and the only change I could discern from my '04 was a slinky storage tube mounted underneath (mine was added by me aftermarket). Other than that, there has been a 4% price increase, according to the dealer.

X,
Didn't they delete the storage bins above the dinette to give it a more open feel?
Where is this "slinky storage bin"?

Jim,

If they did, I sure didn't notice - neither did the dealer... We walked through the coach a couple of times. As you know, the 22' can't do away with much of its storage so I kinda doubt it.

The slinky storage is mounted towards the front of the trailer underneath. Same tube and set-up I bought from Camping World.

X,
Whoops....My mistake! I was confusing the 22' with some pics I saw on the forum of the 2005 28' CCD without the storage bins above the dinette (maybe wishing I had a 28'?). I'll be going to Campers World today to check out the slinky storage bin...sounds like a good idea!

I went to Camping World the other day to see if I could find a "slinky storage" to mount under the front. This is a tubular type of fiberglass unit that stores the sewer hose isn't it? They didn't have any in stock, but had them listed in their catalog. I did buy a mirror to mount (just slides on) on my PU tailgate to help in backing up to the A/S. Looks like it'll work great.
I also logged in at Airstream's website and looked at 2005 CCD's. On the Virtual tour I saw there were some minor changes. It appears that the dinette is padded now (mine is hard laminate), and there is no storage under the dinette seating like mine. The bottom row of doors in the kitchen are light blue (mine are white). They've changed the tank/battery status panel to the left of the desk (mine is outside the bath). The fridge is lighter in color (mine is dark). All in all pretty minor changes!

Hi Jim!

Hey! Wait a minute. I think you are looking at pics of the '03! Are you sure you saw an '05? I don't think so...

The slinky tube is worth it!
