2004 CCD Owners manuals missing

Hello-
We purchased a used 2004 28' CCD that was on consignment at an AS dealer a couple of months ago. The previous owners were not very meticulous and it did not come with several expected items.

The manuals are proving to be difficult to locate. We have downloaded the one from Airstream.com but it does not include appliances and other non-AS items. This is a 5 year old unit and even though it was barely used, it does have issues and we need to know how to properly operate all the stuff! I can't get the make and model numbers off things that are hidden and even some that are not. I have not been able to locate a single manual other than the main AS and it is of limited help.

The dealership is of no help. Unfortunately, they are now closing their doors. The past owner would not cooperate, we were hard negotiators. Got a great deal!

Is there a way to get copies of an entire set of manuals?
Thank you...

I have an 05 CCD built in the fall of 04 - maybe some of the appliances are the same. If you tell me the appliances/makes/models you have & if mine are the same I will scan & send to you. Not quite like 'originals' but at least you'd have the info. Let me know!

Hi there!
we a 25CCD from 04 and all the original manuals

I'm not sure though if we have the same appliances...

It would help if you just did a run through of your unit and wrote down the manuals you need for which model of appliance.

We may have the same make of refrigerator for example but they might've mounted a different model in yours.

Email us once you have the list so we can copy what you need.

I'll throw in with Kimili and RDM16CCD. Have a 28 foot CCD built in 12/04.
Will send what I have, use what you can.

I haven't checked this thread for a long time.
With some info from Airstream, a flashlight and a lot of gymnastics, I was able to compile a list of a majority of the items for which I needed OMs. I scoured the internet and was very successful.

We experienced a leak during a rainy trip last month. Have had a lot of rain since with no sign of the leak. We are planning to take it in and have the roof inspected and caulked. We will have the gaskets checked out as well.

Our unit was hardly used from 2005 until we purchased it 2/09. The PO bought a class-A in 2005 and used it exclusively. Our unit looked almost new but it had sat outside for 5 years.

We have not had an over abundance of problems.
Two minor leaks that only happened once each. Both went away without repairs.
Four popped interior rivets.
Our shower leaked. I think this was from the factory because I do not believe the shower had ever been used.
The shower door hinge was broken. Poor engineering. My husband re-engineered it for the proper stress.
Bath faucet leaked. We just had to tighten it up.
An electrical problem that was draining our batteries. Had it fixed.
Several of the recessed drawer pulls have come unglued.
Our refrigerator pilot light would blow out while traveling. Made a baffle and it stays on now.
Our door knob needed to be adjusted and lubricated.

As you can see, nothing very major or expensive.
If you have had an RV, you know that they all require near constant attention.

We love our CCD.
We went to our first rally last weekend and were surprised to be the only CCD there.

Here are some photos of some of the things we have done to ours:

One other odd thing about a 2004 28' CCD...
It only has one big holding tank. It has not been a problem for us.
The negs are:
You cannot drain your gray water on the ground where it is allowed because w/ one tank it all becomes black water.
You probably will not want to use a Blue Boy for the same reason.
If it gets real full, it can back up in the shower.
The pros are:
Black tanks are usually over-sized and gray under-sized. With one tank you can more efficiently use all the volume.
Sensors stay cleaner because the gray dilutes the black, sloshes around and tends to keep the sensors cleaner.
