Univolt 74 Overlander

So as I mentioned before, just got the 74. It is original in every way and was well taken care off. I see a lot of Univolt threads. Looks as if my original is still in place, what are Overlander owners replacing with ? Even tho it works, I get the feeling I should replace it from what I have read.

Thank You

Jeff

Progressive Dynamics PD 9245 or 9260 will do you just fine. 45 amp or 60 amp. I think the 45 amp is plenty. They are 3 stage chargers and work very well. Also moderately prices and pretty bulletproof from what I can tell. I have 3 ...

I agree. The 9245 is plenty for your rig, I replaced the Univolt with one 2 1/2 years ago and it has performed flawlessly. As I recall the original was only rated for 30 amps and weighed about 2# per amp.

Thank You All
, Service at the site is 30 amp, so that will work. It's amazing how literally everything works. Do have to replace the drain fixture in the tub, Its all dry underneath as far as I can see, want to hit that first before it becomes a problem. I think it actually is from lack of use. Going to replace those 2 items for now, seal up the marker lights up front and enjoy it this year. Next year...................

The 30 amp site power is not DC. It is 120 volt AC power. The Univolt puts out DC power and it's output is rated at 30 amps. It is just a coincident that they are both 30 amps. But they are 2 entirely different animals.
