Sofa on 1999 Excella

We are finishing the remolding on our 1999 30" Excella and have a question I need somebody to help me with!

On the Original sofa, the backrest folds over and becomes a full size bed. Once it is extended, where does it rest on to support the weight?
I assume I have to slide out the bottom section and let it rest on there, but want to be sure if I'm doing it the right way?

Thanks,
George B.

My gaucho balances on the frame, no visible support from anything. It is the most uncomfortable sleep you will have, IMO, unless you are going to replace the foam. Good luck!

Ours flips over also and is supported by the frame, but we pull out the drawer for support. Don't know how comfortable it is as I've only experienced 'Martini Naps'

Our '99 front sofa flattens by lifting the front edge of the seat slightly and pulling out toward the rear of the coach. The OEM sofa was uncomfortable. When we had the interior textiles replaced at Arlene Fowler's this summer we also replaced the OEM with a newer model OEM. Much more comfortable when needed as a bed.
