Curb Side Center Rafter slide...

Our 1999 34' Excella has a curb side Zip Dee awning. This awning has a 'center' rafter support. The top is an angled aluminum square bar with 'ratchet' notches. The 'slide" goes over the angled bar and has a 'pin' on the end which engages a hole in the awning roller when awning is extended. When 'stored', the pin fits in a bracket on the side of the AS below the angled bar.

Ours was 'latched' with the pin in the bracket but apparently the latch released, allowing the bar to rise clear of the bracket then fall off.... somewhere on our return trip of 200 miles. It was 'country' and no way we could locate...

So, I ordered a replacement (satin) finished assembly.. slider and pin only...

When I receive it, I will ensure I take steps to 'secure' in such a way I can use without much inconvenience.... hope to post pics..

cut a tiny piece of rubber hose that will grip the end of the pin. i think enough sticks below the bracket to hold it in place.
