How to tell the difference

In 1995 Airstream made both wide body and standard body coaches with the same name. The spec page does list both, but is there an easy way to tell from a picture whether a particular coach is standard or wide body?

The easiest way I have found is the upper center panel is obviously wider looking.

Ditto first response. Don't know if the same held true then, but since 2005 everything 25 feet and up is a wide body, everything shorter is 8 feet wide.

I do believe that on the serial number plate in the "Model" line there will be a "W" behind the number.

On the newer trailers, the wide body (25' and up) are obviously wider to the eye- the window at the front of the trailer is wider. This is especially noticeable on trailers with panoramic windows. The frame rails are set at different widths. The slinky storage is further up under the trailer. The stabilizer cranks are set further up under the trailer.

David was asking how to tell the difference at a glance, and another way once you get used to looking at them is the wide bodies seem flat on top compared to the earlier models.

The more narrow front window is obvious from a distance. Single axle vs. double axle is noticeable from a distance.
