Coaxial cable junction location

Has anyone done enough interior removal to find the location of the coaxial junction/splitter? The PO had run a new line out the back of the tv cabinet into the refrigerator access space for connecting to the campground cable. I am able to identify that there is a separate plug under the tv stand that I believe connects to the antenna as I assume the plug in the back bedroom is connected. In working on the floor replacement, I found a male cable jack in the shore power electric cable storage. I do not seem to get a signal to run from that point to the other antenna plugs.

Does anyone know where the lines run and where the junction may be? I am not going to be doing a full shell off and would rather not try to keep pulling interior skins to track a cable. I am hoping to get this fixed before I start putting the floor back in. There seems top be a lot of these little projects I had not planned to run into when I started taking out the floor in the back. Oh it is an adventure.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Ok so where is the antenna amplifier? I did not know I had one. Is this some sort of powered device?

in my 94 34' it was up front on the street side wall in the lower cabinet alcove. it looks like a switch plate only it has a coax connector, 12v socket a small slide switch and a light that is red when powered.

Thanks Richinny
I could not wait and went out to look this morning at 6:30 am before taking my daughter to school. Who would have known. there it was. There has been a cable attached to the Coax connector so I did not see the very small switch, and of course the light was not on. Now I can't wait till I get home so I can pull the plate and see what is behind it.

Once again the Forum collective has all the answers.

In the “stock” configuration, it should work like this….
The wall plate with the switch, indicator LED and 12 volt socket is not the amplifier. It is simply a power supply to send 12 volt DC power to the amplifier, which is location outdoors in the head of the “batwing” antenna. The 12 power goes up the coax, and the amplified TV signal comes down.
The wall plate also has connections for connecting TVs. These connections strip the 12 volt DC current from the TV signal so no damage is done to the TVs. There is one TV connection out the front of the plate, and one out the back. This backside one is for supplying TV signal to the second location, assuming the trailer was configured for two TVs from the factory. This should be the only connection point for the factory wiring. No splitter in the walls.
If the trailer was built with a factory cable TV input, the wall plate should have a second input port for that connection. This will again split the signal for both TVs.
If your trailer was not wired for cable, I would get an updated wall plate, (cheap) and simply add a coax from the wall plate to the outside (one of my trailers had it behind the refer, too) for connection to the park cable supply.

This rather lengthy post of course assumes that the factory wiring is mostly intact…

Best of Luck!

Jeff

Thanks. I think I understand most of this. I will have to pull the plate to see what I can find. The trailer does have a rear coax and 12v connection as well. I also found a coax connection in the rear electrical box I assume for hooking up to CG cable. I am wanting to be sure that all these connections are working properly as I currently have the rear floor out. I am still a bit confused on the use of multiple splitters and lines. I know what I will be doing this evening. I do appreciate your guidance.

in my unit the wall plate had about 5 connectors on it. the outlet in the upper cabinet was also connected to this plate which also had a loose splitter inside the wall. there is a live 12v dc line back there so be careful that you don't short it to the inside skin.
