We are replacing the carpet and want to install Shaw vinyl plank. Opinions, comments are welcome.

I am not familiar with Shaw LVP, (a link would have been helpful), but IMHO a non click together LVP flooring is the way to go. Make sure it has a fibreglass backer; good colour coat .20 mills or so, and a very hardy top coat.

I plan on using an XL flooring LVP in the link below. Glue down the perimeter so planks can be easily replaced; if you have to replace a plank that is glued down, a hot air gun releases the glue for you to replace the plank.

This product requires you to click together and says waterproof. I believe more like water resistant. Doesn't require padding although I think it would be a good idea.

We installed a floating vinyl cork-look planking that had peel and stick joints that ended up shrinking in many of the joints and we had to tear it out. I do not remember the brand, except that it came from Home Depot. We then put in a single piece of linoleum that has been fantastic.

I had a flood in my basement and replace carpet with Shaw Floorte Classico Plank Teak. It is beautiful and water proof. It does click together and I feel it would be a good solution.

We used Mannington Adura Max luxury vinyl plank, style Sundance, colorway Saddle, Product Number: MAX002. The "Max" has the high-density backing, which we highly recommend. Came in boxes of 14 planks, each 6"x48", or 27.4 sq ft. Box weight is 46 lbs. Has matching trim pieces. We are super pleased with the results.

I can't remember the brand but we installed vinyl planking a few years ago ....glue down...no click ...no backing....color and pattern of weathered wood....color thru the planking .... I pulled 1 plank up after a couple of weeks and replaced it no problem....I believe the special glue is meant to be able to release if needed(heat gun??) .... We love it !! No issues with dragging in a small rock stuck in your shoe ...it has proven to be virtually bullet proof.
We have a large old dog and 1 year we had 2 dogs for 6weeks....they haven't effected it in any way..... after about 4 years at 8-12 weeks use per year.... it still looks great.
I would highly recommend it ....I'll look later and see if I can find the Brand it was.

I purchased this same flooring at Lowes and installed it last summer with no problems. It's very easy to install and take up if needed since there is no glue. No issues with water or separation of the material so far either. I cut the pieces with a razor knife on a warm sunny day outside of the trailer which made them softer to cut. I ran the pattern from side to side and didn't leave as much expansion space as recommended since it required only two + pieces per section and haven't had any buckle.

I recently rented Class C motorhome that had all vinyl plank floors, looked good and was easy to clean, especially when staying in upaved RV spaces or traveling on the road with people in and out all day.

But my personal RV has solid, continuous tile in only at the door, bath, hall and kitchen, but nice plush carpet in the bedroom.

I put the upper end Home Depot version in a rental property and love it!! Talked to my airstream specialist and he said temperature change could be problematic. He highly recommended cork.

I believe A streamin-life used this product-they love it. We went with Smart-core Ultra and love it We put it in our Serenity and it's beautiful but the process was hard. All those curves to cut!

I just installed LVP from Lowes in my cabin on a mountain river and love it. I wouldn't hesitate to install it in my Airstream. Cork, IMHO, would be a terrible choice. I installed it in three rooms in my home (happy wife, happy life) and we both regret it. It looks GREAT, but it damages easily and moistue is a death sentence.

We used Shaw Versalock vinyl planking as bought at a local reuzit shop. Bought the three boxes available and used all but three planks. A good, cheap way to do it.

Also bought underlayment at the same shop for a very reasonable price. Got more than I needed.

So far, so good. I am hopeful that with extremes in temperatures this summer and upcoming winter it continues to lay nicely. If not, it was not a major investment and we can try something else.

Mine came from Lumber Liquidators. It has a hard white PVC backing. A much better click-lock and looks amazing! Been through winter and summer with no shrink/expansion problems. I highly recommend it.
