Water Pressure Regulator Going Out?

Have noticed recently when I flush the toilet or run the bathroom faucet I hear a noise down by the city water in let. Is this my water pressure regulator telling me it's time to replace it? It's becoming more and more frequent...

You didn't say CW or pump associatef. Not sure of the plumbing on your 30 but i've replaced our CW (shurflo) due to leakage issues. IMO, they don't make much noise. Maybe the downstream pex vibrating. Also generally there is a lot of plumbing in that area, so not necessarily CW connection related.

If it's pump associated, search accumulator tank...a whole different universe.

Maybe pull the CW connection from the TT an inch or so for a better listen.

What type of noise? I heard a noise of something akin to air in the line when I had a water leak from our hot water heater tank. It must have been losing pressure. Any leaks also?

Those water connections are not very good. I have replaced mine once and ALWAYS use a pressure regulator straight off the park water connector.

Sorry for the late response... It's a sudden gush of water sound that lasts a split second. I hear it down by the cw location. No leaks and it happens on occasion when flushing and running the vanity tap. No issues with the kitchen faucet.

Perhaps it is as simple as the pressure releasing and then equalizing.

I know if I watch my external pressure regulator, the pressure is high when nothing is on. When a faucet is open, the pressure drops and equalizes at a specific pressure.

For example, if my regulator shows 55 with no faucets open. Then opening one it could drop to 40 and maintain that. It all depends upon the park.

I think that the initial push of 55 (or whatever it is) might be the noise that then stops when it regulates.

Do you see stronger pressure in your faucet with it dropping down to normal flow?

I haven't noticed any. Also, please forgive my late posts... I still work and don't get to the app very often. It's funny you should mention the park as well. It's only at this park I have noticed it and they do have water problems... Always turning it off for some reason or another.
