There's a long, long trailer in front of my house - 2004 Classic
Sorry for not posting sooner .. but Petunia and I have been enjoying our new Airstream.
We picked it up last Monday (19th) from Toscanos ... everything went rather smoothly. Carlos did a good job with the walk through while Joe installed our Hensley. Kudos to Glenn for having all the paperwork ready ... and making sure everything went as planned. Toscanos did a great job before and after the sale.
We are very very pleased with the trailer. The fit and finish are superb ... I could only find 2 or 3 extremely small items that were not up to snuff ... but they in no way detract from the functionality or appearance of the unit. Really not worth mentioning and easily fixed.
After delivery .. we towed it up the Pacheco Pass and camped at Casa de Fruta ... during the evening this newbie discovered the seal in the toilet would not hold water. Had I found the little tool that was stowed away in the vanity .. I could have cleared it up myself.
But noooo! I had to haul it all the way back to Toscanos in the morning for the one minute fix. Geez .. I'm such a dork!
I should mention here that the crew at Airstream left a little item for us inside the trailer ...

We're all jealous
Nice truck, nice trailer, and nice photo. Here's hoping you two enjoy this rig for a long time. <clink glasses>

That's One Sweeeeeet rig!
Congratuations Porky!
You are going to make everyone jealous. Look at those pics. Sweet!
And you know the AS factory is reading these forums because they knew to treat you right! They went the extra effort with that sign. A surprise that must have been.
As I posted earlier, I got caught up in the RV show and Glen got an easy sell. My 30' Classic gets born tomorrow! I can hardly sleep.
Enjoy that rig you have waited so long for. Hope to meet you at the Los Banos rally!

Porky,
During our Jackson Center Visit, they mentioned you several times -- I showed them your private message and it had your avatar in color. They locked right on...
They kept smilying about something, but I did not draw them out...That is pretty cool...
Now, you just gotta keep the poster with your trailer, and set it up next to your flamingos...
Your trailer looks fabulous!

Ditto!
Have you considered a topper for the truck bed? Could help reduce some drag and increase gas mileage a bit.

Congratulations!
Porky:
I'm envious of the nice level ride of your Ford. I've been trying to figure out ways to get my signature dually level - but no good answers yet. See ya down the road!

So cool! A personal card that really is neat!
Hey enquiring minds want to know...what was the little tool? Do I need to look for that also???
Congratulations! You will need to post a few inside pictures.

Our toilet is a SeaLand (Dometic) ... china by the way ... in the manual they mention that every SeaLand comes with a tool that helps clean the seal.
The tool looks like a white tongue depressor slightly angled at one end. Also ... on the angled end ... the surface has a "scratchy" surface.
When we got home .. I found it in a package in the vanity.
When we went back to Toscanos for the "repair" ... they sold be another tool for about $8 ... it looks like a long allen wrench ... that is angled at about 45 degrees on one end. This is what the tech used ... took him just a few seconds.

Beautiful, you will be very happy. When is the rally in Los Banos? Toscanos should have known the tool was in the vanity or somewhere in your AS and should have given you one for free if they could not find it. Remember, once you left their lot your not dealing with sales anymore.

That's why I didn't see one with mine. I have a Bravura (Thetford)....plastic. I thought that my new Classic would have a little better toilet but then again, I'm already carrying a lot of weight with the slide out....it all adds up.

A minor issue with us .. we just laughed it off. Toscanos did a good job .. but we did notice that they put their license plate frame on upside down!
