Ordered 2004 Safari 28' W

Was an interesting Day...

Several weeks ago, we went to Paul Sherry in Piqua Ohio to look at the new models. We were leaning towards buying vintage.

We went up a couple of times -- our sales guy was new, and we just kept going back.

In the intervening weeks, we did the factory tour.

They sent us a letter saying this weekend was some sort of factory event. We spent yesterday driving and looking at a 1975 Sovereign, and decided on a whim to drive up to see if they had anything new.

We got there when they opened, and we were outside looking at a used 1996 classic 25', when a helicopter flew over the delaership, and hovered, sort of like it was looking around.

The helicopter hovered down close to a drainage basin near I-75, and appeared to land. It was too low to see from where we were standing...

A salesman came outside, and announced his clients were here from Findlay to look at the Airstreams. He drove over on a golf cart to pick them up.

I felt a bit outclassed, to say the least...

When we left, we asked our salesman if they had purchased one, and he did not know, because he said we had kept him busy. I told him I would check back with him...

Might be a bit too late, but I've been dealing with Jerry Penely out there. Very nice guy and have had a good exp working with him.

Congrats on your new coach!

Wink So I gotta ask...

Which kind of hitch works best with a helicopter, a Reese, Equalizer, or Hensley Arrow? Will the Hensley stop sway caused by the tail rotor, or is the tail rotor self-correcting?

I would think a Sky Crane and a couple of slings would work best...
