New '04 Safari 30 Foot Bunk

Looks like AS is building a pretty cool 30 foot Safari now (for 2004). I'm not sure, but it looks like the "master bedroom" is in the front with doors. Bunks in the rear left.

I really like this design. Does anyone have pictures of the inside? It's hard to tell what it looks like from the floorplan drawing.

Also, I'm guessing this model goes for mid-40's... anyone know the MSRP?

Lastly, how come AS doesn't build bathrooms that take up the entire rear of the trailer? The 30' Bunk Safari has a rear rightside bath -- but all other versions seem to have center baths.

I seem to recall that my father's 32' (?) Sovereign (with full rear bath) was beginning to sag when he sold it in 1980 (for what he paid for it brand new in '76). Thoughts?

Rear baths used to require everyone sleeping in the trailer to traipse through the midships sleeping area to get to the bathroom. Center baths are a lot more practical in that respect as well as getting the weight of the black tank out of the extreme rear of the trailer.

I suspect that the MSRP might be higher than the mid 40s. A 22' CCD runs about $40.

One dealer on the internet says the list for an '03 30W is just shy of $59,000. The '04s are supposed to be higher. Of course, careful shopping will get you a substantial discount of of list.

Yeah, but they didn't make a 30' Safari last year. So the $59k probably refers to a Classic.

I think the 30' Safari Bunk will run low $50's... MSRP.

That's a lot of money. To make it pay for itself, I'd have to own it at least 10 years and take it out on weeklong vacations at least twice a year.

And the quality better be good considering the money. (Don't get me started again!)
