BTUs on '04 25' Safari

I am new to Airstreams. I am trying to figure out which generator to purchase. Does anyone know how many BTU's my air conditioner has? Also, what model is my '04 25' Safari. It has a rear bedroom and bathroom. There is a couch up front with a single window behind it. Thanks for any replies.

I have an 02 Safari 25 with the queen bed in the back. My air conditioner is the 11000 btu dometic penguin. I am not sure how to tell if yours is an 11000 or a 135000 unit. Mine has the controls mounted overhead on the unit itself which may be an indication of an 11000. My previous trailer had a 13500 unit and the controls for it were integrated into the same thermostat that controlled the propane furnace.

Someone will probably chime in that knows how to tell for sure what size your unit is.

As far as model number: mine is a 25B. The 25B has a queen in the back, center bath, couch in the front with a window behind it.

Here is a link to AS specs. http://www.airstream.com/service/specifications/

Lucy is right on the other side of you. Lucy is a 2005 Safari 25FB. She has the 13,500 btu air conditioner. We use a pair of Honda 2000's when we want to run the air conditioner.

I have 25' SS at least very similar to yours. It has rear bed and corner bath. It has dinette, and front couch w/ fold out table. It has 11,000 btu Dometic Penguin. As I recall I could view the AC model number by removing filters and looking into that space. The search the internet for the number. At the time I bought it I was aware the 11K BTU was the standard AC, but I remember at some point confirming that indeed it was actually the one installed. It was.

I power it with Yamaha EF3000 SEB since new with good results.

Thumbs up Welcome Aboard....

Garj,

Do you have the Manual for your Safari?

You should be able find which model AC you have on the dealer PDI sheet.

I have a 2004 Safari like yours, with the bed and bath in the back, couch up front and window behind. It is called the Safari SS.

All the 2004 Safari's have a 11,000BTU air conditioner. Starting with the 28 foot Safari they have a 13,500BTU cooler.

Enjoy

I have the same Model as you and it has the 11k BTU AC. We have a Champion 3100 Watt Inverter Generator with Remote Start which runs the AC and all electronics just fine.
