2004 Safari Tail Light Bezels

Hello All fm Southern Utah-
I'v never used a forum of any type but one of the issues I'm experiencing with my 2004 25' Safari prompted me to join this well run forum, so here goes.........

I like to keep my AS in nice condition in an out. My trailer has the retro style dual tail lights that are on alot of the later model AS's.
The tail light bezels ('eye brows') are made of plastic with a 'chrome' like coating. They are starting to weather somewhat so last summer I ordered a replacement set of bezels from an AS dealer. On reciept I found that they had a 4 screw hole pattern whereas mine were 3 hole. I returned the bezels and called AS tech support only to be told that the don't make the bezels with the 3 holes any longer (evidently they switched fm 3 hole to 4 hole bezels not long after 2004). I'm a little surprised and disappointed in AS for discontinuing parts for relatively late model trailer however I'm hopeing I'll find a practical solution here. I could probably make the 4 hole bezels fit by drilling new holes in the tail light assembly to accomodate them but I'm not anxious to do that. I also checked into having my bezels recoated and was told that the coating wouldn't work well for exterior parts.
Does anyone know of a good fix or where I can buy the 3 hole bezels?

Its now 5 years later. I still have the Safari and am still looking for advice from someone who has replaced their original 3 screw plastic tail light 'eyebrow' bezels with the 4 screw type bezels. I'm reluctant to drill 4 new holes for each replacement bezel but its probably the only way to do it???

Anybody?

Hi, I had a problem with the plastic light bezels rusting/corroding and basically looking bad. I went to a truck accessory store and bought some stainless steel rings that actually screw into the rubber piece that holds the light in place. They look good and I haven't had any problems with them at all. They have been on my trailer for many years.

Tail Light Bezels

Thanks for the info. Your bezels do look good. I'm surprised you found stainless steel rings that fit with your light lenses. I thought the tail lights were unique to AS??
It looks like your stainless rings have two retaining screws and they're just screwed into the rubber seal not into metal??
I'm trying to keep the original look on the tail lights so I'd like to stick with eyebrow type bezels.

Hi, these light assemblies are actually very common on big rigs. My original LED tail lights were failing so I found these on line for about $20.00 each. Check on line for truck accessories and you might find what you want. I liked the original hooded light bezels, but I wasn't going to buy new ones every other year.

Hi, I just did a search for 6" oval light bezels and found some on E-bay. The pictures show what you want with three mounting holes.
