Windshield and front window covers

Hi all. The stock AS windshield and front window covers certainly do the job but boy, are they difficult to deal with. Putting them up is a real battle as the windshield cover is really thick and not very pliable. And it's so heavy that after a few hours it sags in the middle.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket or newer AS front window covers that aren't such a hassle to deal with? Or am I stuck with wrestling with these forever?
BTW I have a 2016 ASI 24 GT ext

Yup, those Airstream window covers are the worst and thatís the first thing that I removed. For the windshield, I just replaced it with a WeatherTech sunshade that I linked. Itís easy to put up and roll up for storage. I really wanted the Remis windshield shade to go with our side window ones but it wouldnít work as we have airbags on our 2015 that get in the way of the installation. We had one of the windshield Remis shades on our first Winnebago Sprinter B and really liked it.

For the side windows we have the Remis side window privacy shades that we bought way back when on Amazon. Iíve provided the link for informational purposes as theyíre not available anymore on Amazon. However, I believe that you can still get these from Europe as theyíre very popular there.

Iím in the process of adding a new screen door to our rig and decided to remove that cheap stupid side curtain and went with Van Essential blackout insulated window cover and really like it. I have one for the fan as well. Iím going to be looking to see if I can replace the rest of the back window shades with some of their products as they have shades for all the windows. If and when our Remisí fail, I would definitely replace them with the van essential ones.

VanCamp Windshield Cover

StogieMan, thanks for the reply and information. I decided to go with an external windshield cover that also covers the front passenger and driver side windows as well. { It fits very well and is easy to put on and to remove. I like that it is easy to store and folds up into a small and compact package. I haven't used it on a trip yet so that is the next test.

As an FYI, we're huge fans of interior window covers made by Vanmade Gear. We have them for the windshield and the front side windows. They are not inexpensive, but they are well made and do a great job for us.

We also have an exterior window cover for the windshield and the front side windows, but it's a black mesh fabric that lets us see out while still blocking a most of the sun's heat. We like that it lets us see out during the day and thus makes the van feel bigger during the day than when the windows are completely blocked out. It provides privacy during daytime, but you'll still want the interior window covers at night. Ours was custom made by someone we know who isn't in business commercially, but it looks something like the commercial one I have linked below. That one seems a good analog to what we have, looks like it might be well made, and it comes in multiple colors:
