I don't think 5 months is that long to sit without being started or driven. Of course you are right in that it would be ideal if it were started once or twice. BUT since your unit is well maintained, I am not surprised it runs just fine. Great to hear! I have had many (older & gas engined) cars sit much longer, some went as long as 1-2 yrs. Although they were prepped for long term storage, i.e. everything inside/out cleaned even the undercarriage, all fluids replaced, StaBil in gas tank, lifted up on jacks to unload tires & suspension, and stored indoors. But even a couple that sat outdoors for awhile still ran like a champ. The only obvious issue with sitting outdoors awhile was the sun beating up on paint & rubber parts.

My primary concern regarding a vehicle sitting for a few months is this: engine battery and coach batteries. I would want to ensure that the charge status on both of those sets of batteries are properly maintained during the idle period. Secondary concern is about the fuel. If gasoline (likely "gasahol"), I'd want something like Stabil or Seafoam added to the tank to ensure the fuel doesn't do anything awful to my vehicle when I come back and try to start it. If diesel, I'd do a bit of research to see whether there's something equivalent that should be done for similar idle periods. (caveat: what I don't know about diesel is quite a lot).

Hmmm...

I haven’t turned the “use” button on to charge the coach battery a bit, yet, but am going to do that when I next move it this week....also plug the rig in for a few days to charge everything.

The coach battery was new about a year ago, and if it has taken a hit while sitting for so long there’s nothing I can do about that now...we’ll see how it all shakes out.

I have a full tank of winter quality diesel fuel in there, from last October.

All the things one doesn’t think about when suddenly stricken with an immobilizing medical issue.
