This is the 9,457,321th time that Alibaba has been a pain in my rear end:
A pair of these would be perfect, except they are not sold anywhere except maybe in the streets of the Philippines.
EDIT: And Myanmar. I can get one if I go there.
The silicone deformation problem is clearly known to the market. Here's a BBB version of a silicone ice cube tray that comes in its own supportive plastic form:

Would a styrofoam egg carton work?
or those Yellow camping egg storage containers, cut to size?
Plastic
Rigid

Now I'm on a roll.
Altoids tins?
Jello Shot containers? (sold with the baggies/straws/toothpicks at the grocery store)
or buy in bulk from ULine
https://www.uline.com/BL_546/Portion-Cups
small Dixie cups
What about a block of ice and an icepick?

Wow, this ice cube bag idea actually seems to have wheels.
I filled two of them last night and laid them flat in my regular fridge to pre-cool them. They did not leak overnight.
They DID NOT LEAK. That's half the battle right there. The bags are well-designed with "ears" that can be twisted and tied firmly shut.
Then I cut a piece of Teflon oven sheeting and wrapped it around them to ensure that they would not bunch or snag when slid into the freezer slot.
Piece of cake. This is two bags of them; you can see how I could put another pair in the remaining space if I wanted to. The space is very narrow in two dimensions but it is a full 12 inches deep - I could make a LOT of ice in there.
They are currently freezing, and we'll see what I pull out later today or tomorrow.

Making a video about water freezing is right up there with grass growing in terms of its capacity to command riveted attention, but for the record, here's my morning bounty.
I'm pleased with this outcome. I wish it were not a disposable option, but until a workable re-usable product hits the American market, I think this is the ticket.

It appears like ordinary polyethylene sheeting, the grade that bulk ice is sold in, from C-stores. Popping one of the little suckers into my mouth, I notice no taste at all.
OMG, my husband LB_3 is working on the water pump / cabinet conversion (thread here), which means that the rest of the day's chores fall to me, whatever he would typically handle. I just mowed, edged and whacked our front and back yards. In Houston during high summer, that's literally a death-defying feat.
I was at one of my industrial clients last week, doing an inspection. The workers in their Nomex were trudging around clutching 30 oz. Yeti cups full of icewater as if they were oxygen bottles in the limitless vacuum of space. Like Walking Dead in safety gear with their precious Yetis extended in front of themselves as they shuffled along.

Blame that on YouTube's typical server farm sync delays. Give it time and it should show up.

KNOTDONNE - I am one of those people. Living & camping in southwest CA UT NV & AZ with starting summer temps already hitting 102 up to 115 and travelling w/ 4yr & 2yr old grandkids & pregnant daughter, a counter top ice maker capable of 26 lbs. of ice per day is the only way to survive. It is worth sacrificing precious storage space to have with us all the time.

ICE, ICE, Baby
ICE, ICE, Baby
Whole fam is here - 6 adults, 2 toddlers, one hot day in the Grand Junction, CO area, up at 4,700 ft. A.S.L.
and the IGLOO ice machine is keeping up with demand, have excess that I am supplying ice to daughter's 32 ft. T.T. from my lowly smallish Class B. Such irony she doesn't even have an ice maker inside all that space. And it is "cooking" ice in outside heat

The road to hell being paved with good intentions and all of that, behold my boondocking luxury upward creep... one of those shower enclosures that you take out of the carry sack and it goes SPROING! and unfurls into a full outhouse-sized bottomless tent.
We shower outdoors at our boondocking property in Canada, using lake water to conserve our fresh tank. If the wind is high, it's a pain. I surround the shower with a tarp, but high wind is like an arctic blast on wet skin. It'd be nice to shower outside without hyperventilating, so I indulged in this.
We recently re-did the dog platform for the swiveled front seat area, making it larger and eliminating the need for a center support because we used heavier plywood. I'm hoping this little sucker can slide into the resulting gap beneath it. If not, it can go behind the driver's seat because it's quite flat.
A shower surround. Next thing you know, I might be building a 3-story loft out there. Or maybe not.

I bought one of those outdoor shower enclosures but have not used yet. What do you stand on? So your feet are not in water, dirt, or mud? It have the outdoor shower attachment with the interstate but so far, I'd be in the grass or dirt or gravel. Of course, using the interstate attachment, you use your fresh water, but at least you aren't filling the gray tank

Flip flops. I'm an old lap swimmer. We never go anywhere without flip flops. Nobody in their right mind stands barefoot on a public shower floor (filth! bacteria! viruses!). Our Interstate has two dedicated pairs of flip flops, in their own dedicated storage slots.
For our boondocking property, we plan to abscond with an old wooden pallet from somebody's trash heap, as soon as we can locate one at a convenient time. Right now, we stand flip-flopped on a carpet of spruce needles, but I'd like a pallet for improved drainage.
^^ There it is again - more luxury creep - a pallet! My three-story loft is right around the corner.
