Another consideration is the Schengen Zone rules which is a free trade area covering most but not all of Europe and you can only spend 90 days in 180 days (on a rolling basis) in the whole of the zone, not in each country. However you can get around it by extending your travels outside the zone - Republic of Ireland 90 days, United Kingdom 90 or 180 days, some Balkan states 90 days each, and Morocco and Turkey as well if you want to get even more exotic and broaden your outlook.
Also, you will possibly not be able to get comprehensive insurance, and must have third party personal insurance, and of course travel insurance covering Covid-19 as well as the usual risks. USA does have some competition when it comes to costs of medical treatment.
BTW Europe gas supplies range from 100% propane to 100% butane and you will be able to refill your fixed tank (DIY) in just those countries that use the same large ACME connector. Other countries use one of three other different fill nozzles. Refilling us bottles (legally) will be almost impossible. From my years in south America with a BIGFOOT camper where mostly 100% butane was all we could get, I can confirm that the usual American appliances worked perfectly on butane. In Morocco, Iceland and Finland there is no bulk gas available, just bottled gas (swap N go, not refill) and all countries have different standards
