Second Battery Tray 2018 ASI
Hi y’all
What’s the consensus for the best place to acquire a second battery tray to accommodate (add) two additional batteries?

Depends on the battery type. Flooded lead-acid lives outside somewhere for venting hydrogen fumes overboard. Sealed AGM and Lithium types can be installed inside somewhere that makes electrical and weight placement sense. No simple answers here without many more details from you!

There is a thread about problems if using the normal Airstream mounts for placing underneath. Something about poor choice of how/where to rivet. So look up that thread if you are thinking about underneath. Much as the rest of the AI weighs (10,000 #), I can't think that it is too important where you place the extra 150# of two batteries. Biggest issue I would think is to mount them securely.

To answer your question. Only place to get the trays from is Airstream... so get them from local dealer. That is what I did.
