Question for T1N Interstate owners - trailer plug type?
Were the T1N Interstates built with genuine 7-way trailer plugs?
Our Interstate is not at our house right now, so I cannot put eyeballs on it. And we have never had to tow anything before, so we don’t know from experience.
Thanks.

Mine has a standard 7 blade RV plug along with a 4 pin as well.

Thank you!! If ours has the same configuration, it will make our job a lot easier within the context of the utility trailer brakes.
Unlike my Sienna, with which I also want to use to tow the trailer, which doesn't have such a plug.

For future keyword searchers, here is a follow-on post to this topic, on the subject of brake controllers, which is why I was asking about the 7-way plug.

Happily, my Interstate proved to have the aforementioned 7-way trailer plug, and it appears to be working perfectly despite never having had anything plugged into it for the past 15 years of the vehicle’s life.
Furthermore, it’s side-mounted instead of under-mounted, unlike my Sienna plug which had to be placed on the underside. On yesterday’s shakedown tow with the Sienna, my heart leapt into my throat upon seeing a sudden piece of retread sitting in the right-of-way. If I had hit that thing, the $300 brake controller would have been toast. But having the plug up high greatly reduces that kind of risk.

My brake controller is located under the dash on the left side of the steering wheel where it can be reached for manual operation as necessary. Where is yours mounted that it would be liable to road debris damage? I confess that I've not stayed up on the technology past the Prodigy's introduction. And mine is much older yet than that. I've only towed my Jeep with the T1N, and it doesn't use the controller, so I've never bothered to upgrade it.
