Pyle rear view monitor

Hi all, I'm in the middle of a trip and 4,000ish miles from home and the spring loaded clips on the bottom of the monitor have become un-spring loaded. (i'm currently holding the monitor to the mirror with a bungee ball). Anyone experienced this and how did you fix it?
Thanks,
Bill

Had the same thing happen to one of my clips. One of my Wife's hair ties did the trick to hold it in place. Took it to Airstream and they replaced the whole monitor.

Thanks Ron, I think I have about a month left on warranty so I'll contact a dealer.

Was your coach more than a year old when they replaced the Pyle?
Thanks again Ron,
Bill

Yes, about 18 months.

They are real easy to replace. Along with the service advisor, i did mine in the RV dealer drive way. About 2 minute job.

How deep do you have to dig to disconnect the wiring to the monitor Ron. That looked like the only challenging part to me. If that is pretty simple I think I would prefer to order a replacement unit and install it myself. My dealer is booked up and wants me to leave my AI with him and he'll get to it when he can. Don't like that plan at all.

The cover above the mirror just pops off and the monitor wire is connected by one small plug. The new monitor comes with wire attached so not disconnecting at the monitor.

Got it. Thanks Ron, saved me from taking it to my less than stellar dealer!

Scored one on Amazon for $37 for the whole kit. Downside is it's coming from China so a few weeks wait.
