Propane Not Flowing

Last month we headed out in our 2015 Grand Tour, and on first meal preparation the cooktop burners would not light. I checked the main fuse panel and saw that the LP valve fuse had blown, so it was replaced and all was well. We headed out again this weekend, lit the cooktop burner which ran for a few seconds, then the gas flow stopped. Checked the fuse panel this time, but the fuse was fine. On the off-chance that the LP gauge was incorrectly reflecting a full tank, I checked and confirmed that we did, indeed, have a full tank of propane. We also tried the furnace and confirmed that there was no gas flow there either. Can anyone diagnose?

Propane

How fast did you open the propane tank valve. If you open it too fast there is a safety valve that stops the flow of propane. Close the valve again and open it slowly.

I normally start the high output burner on the cooktop just to make sure the gas is flowing well. It’s one of my setup tasks every time we setup the trailer.

There is an on-off toggle switch on the outside of your Interstate near the propane fill. I'm still learning about Interstates (we just recently purchased a used 2010) but the outside toggle switch is required so the person filling the tank can ensure the propane is turned off to the entire vehicle prior to filling the tank.

I'm pretty sure the comment in post number 2 (above) does not apply to your Interstate. But the on-off toggle switch may be your issue.

As a side note... consider adding an internal toggle switch in series with the outside switch. We did that and it's well worth the effort to ensure you can turn the switch on and off from the inside of the Interstate as well as outside the Interstate. Leaving the switch on indefinitely will draw the battery down over a period of time. Installing a switch inside the van allows you to control when and how long the propane solenoid (valve) is activated.

Ditto with what DoubleR said, may not be your issue but that does happen all the time by opening valve quickly

There is no "valve" on the Interstate that can be opened in any other manner than by throwing a toggle switch. What you posted applies to trailers with removable tanks, not to the Interstate which has a large integral tank with a solenoid-activated valve.

Propane

My bad. Didn’t notice the question was about a coach and not a trailer. At least I learned something today, Thanks.
