Interested in anyone's opinion on a preferred lubricant for the rear bench seat "screw-lift" mechanism?
Thanks in advance...stay well!

White lithium grease, applied sparingly. Same thing you'd use on garage door openers. One application should last for many years.

But you've reminded me, I need to grease both.

I would keep it dry, clean and slippery.

Do you use a solvent to remove as much grease as possible before using the dry lube?

I have long noticed a loud squeak/rubbing noise when raising and lowering the seat. Finally got around to looking at it. The track was rubbing on the wooden piece at the front of the box beneath the seat. This is the piece that the 12V fuse box is mounted in. I put a bit of lithium grease on the wooden notch that the track sits in and it is now quiet.
