Darn, I'm late to the game again. I only recently bought a can of the newer WD-40 "Speicalist" spray. Only mine is the "water resistant silicone lubricant". Now your telling me WD-40 now has a "Dry lube PTFE spray". Now I've gotta make more room on my shelf (and there ain't much room left there).
Do you use a solvent to remove as much grease as possible before using the dry lube?
I have long noticed a loud squeak/rubbing noise when raising and lowering the seat. Finally got around to looking at it. The track was rubbing on the wooden piece at the front of the box beneath the seat. This is the piece that the 12V fuse box is mounted in. I put a bit of lithium grease on the wooden notch that the track sits in and it is now quiet.
