Repairs. Initial macerator problem not solved. Good news tho. Stayed at my sons home with no hook up for 4 days prior. Lithium battery ran almost all the way down. Back up to 100% within 2 hours of being on road and plug in here.

The literal and the figurative. The wharf at White Point, NS from outside and a window reflection inside.

MANSDERM161 - That's amazing. 4 days running on batts and only 30 mins recharge time for each day of usage, assuming a little bit also coming from solar charge

Thanks! Its Battle Row Campground in Bethpage NY. 10 mins from where we live and showing our 2yr old daughter what camping is for the first time
It was a disaster this summer since my generator was having problems, but its all good and fixed + weather is cooling down so its much better
Black paint is ok but u know, u need to wash it more often + make sure your gen is working for your ac

Headspace post:
We use our Interstate for vacations, but that is the minor portion of it. I am far more interested in an immersive ethic than a spectator ethic. Even with vacationing, the passive approach does not interest me - I consider it a waste of valuable time.
I started my own company in 2006. I was immediately horrified at the degree to which I had unwittingly been thinking inside the box, once I recognized it. I had worked for other peoples' companies for my entire life, and I had nothing else as a point of reference. I didn't realize how restrictive my own headspace had been. Ignorance had, indeed, been bliss.
I enjoy most those experiences which allow an analogous degree of "outside the box". I don't like to "visit" places - it's a mindless way of being. I absolutely detest being "entertained" (to my husband's disappointment, I'm unable to sit through a concert or a stage play).
The Interstate allows for immersive experiences. Show up and shed all distractions about where's the next place to stop for a meal or find a bathroom or brush your teeth or go to sleep. Just be, with all other needs and logistics mooted.
Literally an immersive experience, as our dog looks on a bit forlornly (wondering why she can't do that, too, but the dog is perhaps a little bit into the manger because she hates water):

“An immersive experience”...
You hit the nail right on the head with that one, IB.
A perfect description.

Tenerife Mountain is the most brutal hike in this area, but it provides the best views. Crude red arrow points to our Interstate far below. It’s just a white dot from up here.

That is less than an hour away from where I live. I have never camped there but sure walked up the mountain my share of times. In the 60's the only thing near the walk up path was a small granite block building. It had the old ice water cooler with drinks and some junk food snacks. When the kids were little we would go on the 4th of July for the fireworks shot off the top of the mountain.
OK back to reality and planning the trip to Vermont for leaf season

Keep in mind that we are still newbies. I see the photos of the amazing sites shared here and we just can’t wait to visit them.
For us this was the first place that we visit with our rig, where we have such a beautiful sight right behind our AI!!!
Now back to reality for us...we just got back home

It will be our first trip on our interstate, excited!
Virginia/South Carolina/Orlando/ Key West.
I preferred to drive 300 Miles+/- per leg.
In the fall will visit Great Smokey Mountains National Park to see the changing foliage.
