Northern Michigan. Will visit a couple lighthouses (workcamped as lighthouse keepers last summer). Visit Whitefish Point, Picture Rock, Tahquamenon Falls, Grand Marais......

Toskeysam: Kentucky Horse Park is a great park; we stayed there a few days last October.
This morning we woke up to this scene at the Yakima Elks Golf Country Club.

No, not a Harvest Host.... any Elks RV facility is for Members only. But tonight we stayed at this HH location - Bonair Winery in Zillah, WA. Stunning views in all directions. To my right, Mt Adams and Mt Rainier should be visible in the morning after these clouds vacate the area.

Some of them open up to the public for a fee. I've used the one adjacent to Palmetto State Park in Texas. Many people do, given the lack of public resources in the area.

It is fun riding through the wild Rhododendrons this time of year.
The Devils Club and blackberry is not as fun. Ha!
This is up a logging road a bit.

KOA in Greensboro, Ga. I had stayed here before, had a bad site and overall bad experience. Did not want to stay here again, but there isn't much around here. I'm heading west on I -20, and at 300 miles, it's a good first stop. Anyway, don't know if they could see my really bad review from last time, but they "upgraded me to lakeside" and its level and shady....so a huge improvement over my last stay. Pool still pretty dirty, but well behaved kids enjoying it. On to a Passpot Anerica place tomorrow, my first time using that.

LOTA (Land Of The Arches) Campground Red River Gorge/Natural Bridge 5.25.19
Nice quite campground set-up primarily for tent camping catering to the rock climbing & hiking crowd. Limited electrical hook-ups (maybe 6) and the facilities somewhat spartan, although fully adequate if your interest are a peaceful evening in a natural setting. Sits atop an elevated clearing surrounded by forest.

Marshall, TX Courthouse. Lunch stop on the way from KY to Houston. Also, recommend Meeman-Shelby SP North of Memphis. Great Hiking along the Mississippi River.

PALISADES BASECAMP, Palisades, CO
Just arrived yesterday in Palisades, CO east of Grand Junction for annual Lavender Festival this week. Waiting for daughter & her fam to arrive. Hot even for here (but much better than Vegas). New campground, so not much shade. Sites are huge, each site has a wide sideyard that easily fits a Class-A rig. All gravel sites, level, well maintained, very clean shower facilities. Our site overlooks many of the farms and a huge drop down to Colorado River. Very scenic.

Looks just like mine! Wish I were there. A brand new RV resort is getting ready to open here in North myrtle beach. It is not beach front but it looks very nice. Once they are open, I'll go stay a night, check it out and post a pic. I just want the chance to stay at a brand new place.
