Onan Generator won't shut off

Has anyone experienced this problem? Generator starts and operates ok, but when the switch is pushed to shut it off nothing happens. To get it to stop running, the propane valve has to be turned off.

The Onan service folks said the off button on the generator will stop it. Therefore it must be a wiring issue between the generator and the remote switch inside the van.

Does the start switch ON the generator kill it?

Then you've likely got an open... either the remote switch has gone bad or the wiring from the remote switch to the generator is bad.
