NotStock's rig shows up in a Youtube video

NotStock has not posted on this forum for nearly a year. But I caught a glimpse of his uniquely identifiable gold Interstate in a Traveling Robert youtube video released today (but actually filmed last Summer).

While Robert was spending a night in a Hood River, OR Walmart, it turns out he was parked next to NotStock's one-of-a-kind rig for the night. Talk about coincidences.

Briefly at about 17:50 in the video when Robert was waking up the next morning, and then again when he was pulling out at about 18:55 you get a glimpse of NotStock's rig.

Had it been anyone else's less distinctive van, I'd never have noticed.

Thanks.

Very brief glimpses indeed . . .

A reminder that one can click on the URL at the top of that YouTube frame, in order to open a new window/tab/frame, with Full Screen etc. options.

Here is his last post, on the "Pictures of your Interstate" thread:

The next morning cruised the Huntington Beach pier in a convertible caddy before cruising down to Temecula to ride mountain bikes.

Great photos attached there!

Cheers,

Brief yes. But you can't miss that gold Interstate. It's an eye-catcher for sure. At least it caught my eye.

I once thought my silver Avenue was in another of Traveling Robert's videos. He was in Liberty Harbor RV Park (in Jersey City across the Hudson from NYC) in Fall of '2018 about the same time we were there. He even panned his camera past a silver Avenue. Not ours (and I would have noticed another Avenue if it had been there when we were) but we must have been there within days of each other. And what are the odds of another Avenue.

The TL;DR (or TL;DW?) moment. Yes, that is an Interstate.

Great screen capture since it was only shown for a second or two.

NotStock confirmed in my PM that was his rig (who else's could it have been). I hope he'll post again to let us know what he's been up to.

One word: Instagram. That's how to best follow the vanlifers who interest you. John has put almost 200,000 miles on his Interstate, and he 28,500 IG followers. He's one of the best motor vehicle photographers in the country. Screenshot from IG:
