No AC

Started generator and AC not working. Checked fuse and 15 amp circuit breaker tripped and 10 amp fuse for fantastic fan, reading light, furnace blown. Reset breaker but fuse blows as soon as touching socket. Called AS service, no help
Any suggestions? Thank you

I guess my first question would be does the AC work off shore power? Will the furnace and fan work off coach batteries (I’m not familiar with your vehicle, but I assume those things work off 12 V.

What size of generator? What altitude are you at? Does your AC have a micro-air soft start?

Are you saying they work or don’t work on shore power? The “either” threw me off.

I got the same response from Airstream HQ yesterday. Seems like (1) a lot of people have problems, (2) they haven’t kept up with support and maintenance demand. Probably both.

Don’t work either way. Sorry I missed a word. 😂
Unbelievable I live so close and even worked there years ago. Owned 4 airstreams and can’t squeeze me in for a look.

Try this, turn off all circuits and plug into shore power. If you trip then, you have a short coming in, like the plug to the panel. My guess is that is unlikely but possible. Then turn on one circuit at a time to see which line has the short until you find one that trips. Converter/inverter? Good luck. Hopefully you can run without whatever has the short. If it is the Magnum unit, you will need a fix before you can do anything.

Recently our AC went bad and I am now in the process of replacing it. It could be one of three things a board went bad The relay (wrong name) or the compressor. If you have a heat pump and both the aC and heat pump does not work I fear you will need to replace the unit. However if the HP works it more than likely a board or the capacitor

That is good news. I am not that lucky as I am having a new Ac put in. Not sure what caused the problem however when the technician took the he cover off he found a water hose and also electrical outlet that was not connected I am not even sure why an electric outlet would be there
