New “WOLO” horn
Just replaced the Piaggio “beep-beep” horn on my 19’ TB with a Wolo “619”.
Very easy install, used relay that came with horn. Using orig horn wires to trigger relay......WOW!!!!! VERY loud !

which model of horn? How did you mount it? Did you remove the old horn or just leave it there?

I don't understand the fascination with such a loud horn.

Sometimes a wimpy horn sound does not get the desired attention?

It's not that the replacement is such a load horn, its just that the stock Airstream Interstate horn should only be on a toy car.
I'm sure your horn on your tow vehicle is much loader.
As to why one is needed, I had a moose running right towards me last summer in the Yukon, on my way to Alaska. I hit the breaks and laid on the horn. I doubt the moose even heard this pitiful horn. Barely avoided a head on crash.

Wolo 619
The Wolo 619 is not the perfect horn....but very cheap, easy to install (mounted on same horn mount as oem) and fairly loud. It would be nice if it sounded like the classic Caddy horns, but nope !

I had a single note "beep beep" hope on my truck, so I went to the pull-a-part and got some D, F, A and C note Delco Remy horns off of a couple of Cadillacs and Oldsmobiles. After that, I got a little carried away.

Last year I ordered a horn similar to the Wolo horn. It didn't easily fit, needed a relay so I gave up on it. (Stebel Nautilus Compact Mini Air Horn)
Seeing this thread I decided to look again and found a firm that packaged two horns, wiring, and a bracket specifically for a Sprinter van. (agileoffroad.com).
They had sparse but useful instructions.
Everything fit well. It sounds much better (and louder) and since they are electric, no relay wiring was necessary. Yes, it cost more but with the bracket it made installation a breeze.

I used the Agile Offroad setup on my Unity. Very pleased with ease of installation, online video instructions and results. Not offensively loud but loud enough to get their attention.

Go to agileoffroad.com, click on Sprinter parts, scroll down to the video. They have a comparison of stock horn and new horns.

It's a nice kit complete with bracket and wiring harness. The instructions are not the best but they have instructions on their website.
