Thumbs up Need Towing Help

Purchased a new 2014 ext. cab from Colonial last October, and love this vehicle. Planning to purchase and tow a 19' Bambi International with our AI, at some point in the near future. We travel with animals and stay at camping sites for long periods of time and having a more anchored home base is much more convenient and practical for us at this time in our life. Have never towed anything in my past and would like to know what I would need to tow safely. All info is greatly appreciated.

I'm sure Colonial has the CD from Airstream on towing. We got one in the information packet that came with our coach.

Try this thread for some options on towing with a Sprinter. There are a lot of people doing it so I don't really think it is a problem for the light 19' Bambi International you plan to tow. http://www.airforums.com/forums/f463...mpg-92950.html

There is a lot of info on the internet about towing in general just do some searching. Here are a few links to get you started.

I towed a 27' vintage Airstream with my Ford E-350 for years before we got our Interstate. Towing just requires more careful driving to be safe.

The Bambi is tall enough the camera can't see over it. It's also wide enough the outside mirrors can't see around it. At the very least you'll need trailer towing mirrors on both front doors.

I haven't bought towing mirrors from here, but it looks like this place might have what you need…
