Hey - shouldn’t the main multiplex panel
(on your left wall as you enter the sliding door of the coach) shut down the entire lights and power of the coach?
I feel like I remember this function from prior units. When turning the switch off at the panel, I can hear the battery guest switch turning aft in the coach ... but the power remains on in the coach.
BlueSea 7622 to replace the standard AS BIM:
FlyFishinRV and others did a beautiful job explaining the functionality of this unit a couple years ago.
My question is only this, any regrets ... I’m assuming there’s nothing improved on the market at this point.
I’ll order this BlueSea this morning unless anyone has a better suggestion to keep both batteries charging while zipping didn’t the road. This is a 2018 van, produced in 2/28/18 on a 12/31/17 chassis.
Thanks to those who clearly documented their choice for a BIM replacement (Pete and others).
I have installed the Blue Sea BIM in two AIs to date (2014.5 and 2018). I am very pleased with the function they have added. I never find my batteries other than at 100% after travel. The original BIM was terrible. When we would stop for a few hours at some attraction, it would not start charging the coach battery when we would resume travel unless it was very low.

After installing the ACR, the original dash button is not active. I installed the ACR remote switch in the panel above the driver's left shoulder. If I need the batteries paired to start the engine, I can reach up behind my left shoulder and activate the switch.
It was fairly easy to route the wires forward from the ACR past the bathroom and refrigerator to the panel.

The whole 7000 series of devices are very solid performers. They are a bit "old school" in that there is a big chunk of metal in them (a solenoid) rather than a solid state whatever doing the actual switching. The 7620 is a cheaper 7622 without the big yellow override gizmo on it.
I installed the 7622 in my 2019, 19 foot. My BIM was in a box, behind the driver seat. Mounted the switch there. Still can see and work switch from driver seat. Worthwhile improvement.
