MB Sprinter Electrical failure
Van starts and runs normally. Fuel gauge, Air-conditioning, turn signals, lights and most other electrical components up front don't work. Checked numerous fuses all seem good. What would cause a variety of components to fail at once especially on a holiday weekend. Help!

WILDWILLY - Does your 2017 have a Fusion entertainment system? Could be a CANBUS issue. Disable every non-essential component in the MB chassis by pulling out fuses to try and narrow it down. There is too much to get a handle on something like this when nothing seems to work. Also, turn off the entire house side. Then see is symptoms change. Or maybe try to get a OBD scanner to pull any codes if you have access to one or have local auto parts place pull up codes (since you say it runs normal).

thanks
Alex,
Thanks for your reply. I tried shutting off the house and pulling fuses but to no avail. Just took it to the Mercedes dealer for him to troubleshoot. Will let everyone know when we find out what the problem is. From your reply and research it is likely it has something to do with the CAN Bus but I certainly can't mess with that.
BTW, if this gets fixed we are headed west first to Phoenix for a sporting event, then Las Vegas for a meeting and then Utah for the parks.

WILDWILLY - Best of luck in getting resolved before your long trip. You picked good time to visit AZ NV UT. It is not scorching hot anymore, but still warm enough to enjoy. Not sure which parks you plan to visit in UT. But whichever ones, they are all awesome parks. A lot of the more popular parks (Zion Dixie Grand Staircase Escalante Capitol Reefs Canyonlands Fishlake, etc etc) can get busy on holidays but not so much now that kids are back to school. UT is such a great state for visiting all their fabulous state and NPs.
