Manual shades for the Interstate

I just ordered the parts, so should be able to give feedback on them in a week or so.

But, of course, the big story is that I'm back home so soon because the macerator failed before I could even go to the rally. No fun to try to handle four days off-grid, and then triy to dump full tanks with a kaput machine.

The conversion to manual shades is coming along pretty well. About half finished now, and all known technical details of the replacement now dealt with.

I posted a bunch of pics and discussion to a thread on the AI group on FB; I don't plan to repost it all here. A link:

The conversion is now complete. YOu can see pictures, video, descriptive text, commentary on areas that were successful and on areas that are not as successful. It's all on Facebook at the link in the previous post.

Only remaining motor is in the large blind that shades the full width in the back of the RV. If it fails some day, I'll deal with it at that time.
