Lagun Table Installation in 2010 Twin Bed Interstate
Those who have the early model NCV3 Interstate vans with the twin bed floor plan realize the pedestal table has its limitations. In the twin bed model the galley is moved forward to make room for a closet compared to the lounge model. This model has three captain's chairs rather than four chairs. The stove and refrigerator occupy the space where the fourth captain's chair would have been located.
The table top and pedestal are stored at the end of the cabinet. It takes a few minutes to assemble the components and once erected it puts the person sitting in the driver's seat at a real disadvantage. After swiveling the driver and passenger seats around to use the table it's nearly impossible (certainly not easy) for the person sitting in the driver chair to move from that position. Consequently, we very seldom used the original Airstream table. Airstream also included a pull-out table in the original design. We found the pull-out table useful for the person in the driver's seat but the passenger did not have access to a table and the person in the third seat was out of luck too.
The pictures shown below provide an overview of our installation.
