Lagun table in 2018 GT
I have hated the pedestal tables since I bought the 2018. I removed the rear mount and replaced the heavy table with an 18" wood cutting board that was lighter and easier to get around. That was better, but still not satisfying.
When I saw the Lagun desk/table installation in the 2020 GT, I decided to pitch the pedestal hardware and install a Lagun mount in the 2018 based on the installation in the 2020.
In the 2020, the entire table swivels. The 2018 has a hinged table with a fixed 4" area on two sides. I'll leave that part in place. That still leaves a fair-sized table to swivel on the Lagun mount.
I removed the hinges and latch from the desk. That revealed the ugly metal box where the hinges were mounted. It also required an added ledge to help support and align that end of the table in line with the balance. I laminated a piece of 3/4" plywood and attached it to the metal box using the existing screw holes where the hinges were removed. That took some uncomfortable work with a stubby screw driver.
I have not been able to purchase matching laminate for the "Beach Wood" interior. For the shelf I installed in the rear, I used a "Burnt Steel" laminate that matches the interior fairly well in tone. I am using the same laminate for the Lagun mount.
Unusually cold weather has slowed the lamination process. The leg mount is in my unheated workshop, all ready for laminate. The table rest mentioned above is mounted in the GT. It is a bit warmer today and I hope to finish the lamination. If all goes well, the table should be finished by Monday.

Table mount ready
Some warmer weather today allowed me to laminate the mount for the Lagun.
Since I have limited access to the cabinet interior behind the mount, I made it long enough that I can insert two #14 screws from the interior of the wardrobe cabinet near the top of the mount.
Lower on the mount, there will be two #14 screws into the cabinet end. One of these screws will be hidden by the Lagun plate. The bottom screw will be set deep in the mount and capped.
I should mention that the mount overlaps an access plate on the cabinet end. I cut a 1/16" relief in the part of the mount that overlaps the access plate. That allows me to remove the screws at the other end of the plate and slide the access plate out if needed.
I capped the top of the wood mount with a black plastic box lid that happened to fit fairly well.
I'll finish the installation at the storage yard tomorrow.

Table installed
I installed the Lagun table at the storage yard this morning. All went well except for interference between the clamp handle at the top of the post and the wood piece that supports the fixed part of the table. For now, I have a nut in place of the clamp handle. I have the arm clamped just enough to add some resistance to rotation.
When I get time I will modify the wood part and that will give me enough clearance to replace the handle.
I am very happy with the resulting table motion. It works well as a dining table for the front seats, although it could be larger. It also swings clear around flat against the wardrobe where it can be accessed from the galley area.
I am going to install a 5# latch to keep it in the desk position when underway.
I also installed the bamboo table that mounts in the cubby in the dash. Very nice table. I do want to glue a strip of rubber material to add some resistance between the table and the mat on the bottom of the dash cubby. That will add some resistance against accidentally bumping it out.

I really like the bamboo table on the dash. Have you described that build somewhere?

Overlay table
Because only part of my GT desk swivels on the Lagun mount, rather than the entire table as in the 2020 GT, I wanted a larger table for when we are both eating.
I decided to make an overlay of 1/4" ply, with 3/4" ply underneath to match the shape of the table, I laminated the top. I trimmed the edges with 1/4" x 1 1/2" oak, stained to match the laminate colors. This is a nice, light table, not like the original Corean that weighed a ton. It is nice in that it can be easily moved out of the way, unlike the pedestal table. It adds 3" x 5" to the original table size. I had to cut a diagonal on one corner to clear the fixed part of the desk.
Instead of doing anything fancy on the corners, I trimmed the edges with a soft, high-quality child-proof strip. This soft edge should make moving around the table a lot more comfortable.
There is just enough space to stow the overlay against the wall, under the desk. A magnet holds it in place while stowed.
