Thumbs up

This is such a great mod. No more needing to fully open the door. Funny that they add a note letting you know that they did not forget to send it, lol... it is wrap around an ice cream stick, it is that small...

I fixed it in place with some JB Weld.

Only issue for my daughter is that it works too well... She can't close the door with one pull... must push a little to rock the door and and get it off the ramp. I guess that I could grind the edge just a little bit to make it easier to get off and roll... nah

When i ordered mine 2.5 years ago I missed seeing the door stop behind the popsicle stick. The seller told me he was going to start adding a note, glad to hear he followed thru.

If only MB would allow the power door option that's available in Europe. Maybe when they start building the Sprinters here they'll allow it.

Oh yes for sure the automatic door would be one of the greatest upgrades here, because to close it when the engine is running and AC is on - sometimes annoying. Need to slam the door few times to properly close it. And this task is certainly not for women.

Especially if you're headed uphill. Found that it helps if a window is open slightly.

I notice that the window on the door is momentarily pushed open about an inch when the door is slammed shut. Apparently, enough elasticity in the mechanism to allow that much motion.

I'm not where I can look, but the other opening windows may also react to slamming the door.

Yes that’s right.
But you can’t open and close the window every time you use side door.

Absolutely!
And you can’t prevent it from this momentarily push open. Unless you permanently glue it with a liquid nail ))).
PS: another Airstream flaw suggested to be upgraded: just don’t install an open-close window on the side door.

Actually that’s exactly what I did! I used a Dremel to smooth the front edge.
