I converted my lounge model with a couch to twin beds. My twins and the regular Airstream twins are beds only, and are not convertible to seats.

I have four seats up front. The second row seats are where we generally watch TV. I put the front TV on a swing-down mount so that we can watch it comfortably without sore necks.

We usually watch the late news on the rear TV in our beds, before shutting down for the night. A few pillows make watching the rear TV fairly comfortable.

Never seen one in person and the promotional literature is tough to find.

Thanks,

The lounge based twin models all have the single frige/freezer combo. The twin beds are permanent beds (Memory Foam, Pillow Top Mattresses). We only use the rear tv while lying in bed. The rear tv can be swung all the way around into the aisle and viewed from the swiveled front seats. I also modified my front tv mount so we could lower it to a comfortable viewing position from the 2nd row seat.

General comment on insulation, partially a propos of this discussion, perhaps more relevant to a couple of historical B-Van discussions, but this is a live (and lively) insulation-related thread, so I figured I'd make use of it:

Joann Fabrics is now selling bulk Insul-Bright for $3.99 per yard. A year ago when I created the tarp cover for our externally-mounted Yeti cooler, I couldn't get it. I could only find it online, in pre-cut packaged form, which had all the wrong dimensions for my application. I perhaps could have cobbled something together from what was offered, but it was also very expensive at that time, and I simply said to hell with it.

There have been discussions previously on what we really can expect in terms of R-values from some of the products that we use to bolster the insulation in our Interstates, whether it be windows or a galley cabinet or a Yeti or whatever else.

Reflectix has been widely cursed as over-representing what it can do, and the general feeling online is that its actual R value is close to 1 - not very effective at all, but it still gets applied quite a bit for lack of better alternative.

To my knowledge, the Insul-Bright manufacturer doesn't declare an R-value, but according to some of the claims on ultra-light backpacker forums, it might achieve an R value above 7, *if* it is applied in proper context.

Anyway, I'll be getting over to the fabric store as fast as my hot little legs can carry me. I need to make an under-tarp liner for our Yeti prior to our upcoming trip. I probably won't have time to experiment with things like window coverings, and I don't know if Insul-Bright will prove to be a game-changer, but at least it's a promising additional option at this point.
