I found a somewhat Comfortable Bed Solution for Interstate Lounge

Im loving our new interstate, and we are full timing in it, so the lounge is converted to a bed quite a bit. Before we picked up the interstate (feb 23, 2023), I researched what people were using including memory foam, air mattresses, etc. I had not see anyone using the product im recommending yet - but forgive me if it has been mentioned before.

We picked up an "AIRELAX Self Inflating Sleeping Pad for Camping, 4" Insulated Camping Mattress with Solid Foam and Pump Sack to Adjust Firmness, Double Sleeping Pad for Car Travel Camping Tent, Queen, All Season" --- and we love it!

It is easy to roll out and put away. Only takes up as much space as a large sleeping bag. We keep in the the area behind the bed/couch when not in use.

It is adjustable for firmness and we've never had to add "extra air". We have a small lithium powered vacuum (that came with our airstream and should be a standard add on for anyone!) that I use to deflate the AIRELAX quickly and easily.

Here is the VAC:

https://www.amazon.com/BLACK-DECKER-...2-63e904010ad0

and Here is the AIRFLEX bed:

https://www.amazon.com/AIRELAX-Infla...2-63e904010ad0

I highly recommend both products and couldn't imagine living in the Interstate without either. I hope either of these solutions help someone in the community!

How hard is it to put back in the bag? Can it be stored rolled up for long periods of time?

You can prob find how long in can be stored on the Amazon link, we've only stored it for days at a time - but I cannot see why it cant be stored for a very long time.

Its very easy to de inflate, especially with the vacuum! It comes with roll up straps that clip around it then you just slide it into the bag and stow it. I cannot imagine using anything else than this hybrid of a memory foam / inflatable mattress. The only thing I wish for is that it was slightly wider, but I still love it.
