Houston mechanic

Do you all have a recommendation for a mechanic shop in the Houston area to do some minor work on my 2011 Interstate? I don't want to take it all the way to Buda Texas just to have my batteries checked/replaced and a cover put on the battery housing (small recall item).

I had a VERY BAD air conditioner warranty experience with the Buda dealer several years ago, to include listening to their sales dept maligning their own Customers while I was reading a magazine while waiting on my A/S. It really made me angry as I spent over 28 years in marketing with an oil company and understand that without the Customer business can’t exist.

Additionally, I do not think very highly of a dealer on North I-45 as they bent my tongue jack, tried to tell me I bent it, and then when I overwhelmed them with logic tried to replace it with a cheaper 2,000# jack (the OEM jack as 3,500#). They finally acquiesced to my demand and ordered the OEM jack. When it arrived a week or so later they installed it incorrectly (set screws attaching the gear head not installed correctly), but I was able to hook up, tow it to my home and correct the error of their ways; never again will have them do any mechanical work on my unit.

As Andy indicates Bob Jones RV has a good reputation, but I don’t have enough experience with them to pass judgement.

Thanks! I will try Bob Jones RV. The folks in Buda didn't even call me back when I called. I have not read hardly anything positive about them. Even though it is warranty work I would rather go someplace close by and pay for it.

When contacting Bob Jones RV you can also ask for Chris Jones, his son. Years ago Bob Jones had an Airstream dealership in Houston but now provides only service. They are in So Houston just off of I-45. They have been servicing my Airstream for many years and I have always been very satisfied.
