Has anyone replaced the rear couch and jump seats with a raised platform bed?

Thinking what it might be like to get rid of the rear couch / jumpseat setup and replace it with a raised platform bed. More comfortable bed, more storage underneath, and our 65-pound dog could maybe sleep on the floor under the forward part of the bed instead of filling up the lounge area in front. Has anyone done something like this, and if so, would you please post some pictures and say how well it has worked out?

Thanks!

It was done and the feed was out there from a couple years back. Sorry I canít remember the member who did it. Might look around August 2019 (ish). Someone else might remember who did it. They may have done two twin beds with an aisle in the middle though. Been a while since I saw the post though, so my memory might not be correct on it.

Thank you! Excellent food for thought. Haven't committed to doing this, just dreaming a bit about what we might like to do in the long run.

We did but made twin beds, its so much better than the old queen fold out and you can have a custom foam mattress to your taste. I digitized the inside area then cut it out of 3/4" oak plywood on my cnc router, we did use the back rest of the seat for a headboard and its nice to sit up in bed. I still have the files for anyone who would like to convert, you'll have to find a cabinet shop with a cnc router.
