There doesn't appear to be anything on the end to keep the roll from sliding off or unrolling as the RV goes bouncing merrily down the road.

Does the suction come from twisting the knob?

Smash cardboard center roll flat before towing. Massage back to semi round when you arrive.

Cool!

I have the stainless steel, magnetic one that pops up below this one on the Amazon page.

Have had it two years, mounted to the steel plate over the burners.

Still love it, and that it uses some of that vertical space.

Please take the roll off the hanger before igniting burners. There are about 4,000 RV fires a year, and RVs burn very fast.

Travel safely, so we can see you down the road.

I place a bit of fresh masking tape on the loose end during travel. Holds tight.

That observation warrants a visual, I think. Most of the available YouTubes show RV fires already well in progress, but this one shows a case where it was nearer to the beginning. It appears that the toad may have set the Class A on fire, but note how it went from having flames on the exterior back end to totally engulfed in about 3 minutes.

I appreciate the concern, but have to tell you I have never done this.

If I had a shred of concern I could ignite my paper towels, I would not hang them there.

At this moment, with a nearly new, super-sized Bounty roll hanging.....the roll is 16" above my burner. It doesn't even get warm.

If the paper towels were loose and hanging, and I turned the burner on high with no pan on, I could ignite the paper towels.

I have more sense than that, most days.

If you don't believe it, come see it. Perfectly safe, trust me. I am baking bread for one in my little grill pan, even as I write.

That plate area, over the burners, is really the perfect place for paper towels.

I put it there for the photo
Not sure exactly where it will go
Its down now
Only up when not roll'n down the road so not worried about it sliding off.
Yes the knob twists for tight suction.
I cant imagine a better one. I recommend it.

With aluminum walls, to which a suction cup will adhere nicely, the possibilities are endless.

Could even suspend it from the ceiling.
